Research Areas
My research covers different fields, with a common denominator: sport and physical activity.
Physical and Mental Health among Children and Adolescents.
My research primarily focuses on the physical and mental health among children and adolescents, with a sub focus on adolescents with disabilities. I conduct research within the school contexts, specifically in physical education, with the overall objective to imrpove children’s and adolescents’ physical and mental health through physical activity.
Sports and Exercise Science
As a former rugby player, and Strength and Conditioning Coach, I have a deep interest in Sports and Exercise Science. This area of interest has led me to collaborate with international research profiles.
Systematic review and meta-analysis
A systematic review is a research design that aims to identify, select and synthesise the published literature on a particular question or topic. Systematic reviews must adhere to a precise scientific design based on pre-specified and reproducible methods. If you want to know what the evidence is in a specific field, this is the way to go. And I love it.
